This trek reaches the holy Hindu place of Amarnath Cave, believed to be the abode of lord Shiva. Every summer at full moon, thousands of Hindu devotees from all part of the country complete the pilgrimage to celebrate Amarnath Yatra.
We will provide you all the required equipment (trekking permit, tent, sleeping bag, trekking boots, provisions…). Your bag will be carried by horses, which you can also ride whenever you feel tired…

Day 01-02 : Pahalgam - Chandanwari (2,898 m)
Trek from Pahalgam to Baisuran, a beautiful grassy meadow surrounded by hills covered with luxuriant vegetation. Next 5 km up is Tulian. The path is steep and winding through woods. Arrive in Aru, which has fine meadows of picturesque scenery, and good camping sites near the river. Camp one night in Aru and one in Chandawari, not far from there.
Day 03-04 : Liddarwat (3,050 m)
The Lidder valley at Liddarwar opens more and is in places thickly wooded. The path is steep . Spend two nights in the area.
Day 05 : Shesh Nag (3,578 m) - Kolahoi Glacier (4,270 m)
The path gradually ascends, and become very steep at one place, called Pissu Ghati. Shesh Nag (3,578 m) is a fine lake of green color, which generally remains frozen and covered with snow till the end of May. Continue via Wayujan (literally "strong winds") to Kolahoi Glacier. Also known as Gwash Brari, it is 32 km long. Camp in the area.
Day 06 : Mahagunas Pass (4,483 m)
This is the highest point that one has to pass while going to Amarnath cave. This place provides one of the most wonderful sights with many beautiful lakes around it (generally frozen up to July and August). Camping.
Day 07 : Tarsar Lake (3,797 m)
An almond shaped lake of fresh and transparent water, which runs towards Liddarwat and falls into the Lidder river. Camp nearby.
Day 08 : Panchtarni (4,270 m)
After a high ascent up to 4,270 m, the path descent gradually throughout beautiful scenery of meadows and flowers. This is the place where five streams meet and flow as Ramganga, which joins the river Sind. Camping.
Day 09 : Amarnath (3,901 m)
Start walking early in the morning crossing several torrents and walking over glacier, beneath which flow streams. Then comes the cave.
