» Wildlife safaris in India:

The Royal Bengal Tiger can be spotted in Ranthambhore, Kanha, Bhandavgarh, Corbett, Periyar and many other national parks in India

Nature lovers can experiment thrilling expeditions in India. Huge wildlife reserves have been created to protect some unique but endangered species of flora and fauna.

To undertake a safari tour in India, be ready to venture into deep forests, away from the beaten track. You will enjoy the luxurious landscapes and meet rural and tribal populations, who have long venerated the forest, a source of biodiversity and a place of magic and danger.

Safari rides and game drives can be arranged twice a day, in early morning and late afternoon, best timings to see animals. However don't expect them to rush front of you in such a dense jungle...

What will you see on safari? It depends on the regions and the seasons: wild elephants, leopards, Asian lions, deers, pythons, water buffalos, crocodiles, unicorn rhinoceros, Bactrian camels, colorful birds (especially migratory birds in winter).

Try and catch a sight of the Royal Bengal tiger: that would be the highlight of your safari. However, be aware that their number reduces every year.

Some parks close for a few month every year. During the rest of the year, they usually open only during daytime. You can stay in surroundings lodges, or sometimes within their boundaries. Wherever you stay, adopt a responsible behaviour to minimize your visit's negative impact on local ecosystem, rare and precious.
